So I'm about to buy my friends set up for a really good price and have a question. I'm getting 2 memphis mojo 15 d2 which are currently powered by a power acoustic gt6000 i believe. I know the amp isn't that good and I'm planning on getting a sundown in the near future but can i still use the power acoustic when i get the sundown? I'm eventually going to put in a 3rd mojo as well but i have such a tiny car so it will be hard. I know the Memphis website says these rms at 1750, how true Is that?

Yeah i kinda figured that. Just hopeful wishing. Do you know how big an alternator i should get for the sundown 2500? Currently only have stock 90a
If you're going to pay for a H.O. alt, I wouldn't even waste my time with anything below 300 amps, but if it's only for daily musical listening - You can get away with running a smaller alt (225 - 275 amp) if you have good batts & wiring, as you won't be pulling a constant max draw from any amp on music at listening levels - I'm talking regular music though, not all that decaf'd, chopped & screwed, slowed / ect. stuff, so if that's your thing then get the biggest alt you can as a sundown 2500 can draw 250 amps from your electrical system on it's own...

**** that's crazy didn't know they needed so much power. Is there a Watts to amps scale? i mostly listen to but not chopped and screwed just normal jeezy, ace hood. Will a 250 and a 2nd battery do?
