New Subs Suggestions?

Last night it was recommended to me that I should replace my Kicker subs with a different brand. I did a bit of research and I have kinda made up my mind to do so. Of the brands that were recommended to me, I have narrowed down my options to: sundown audio sa, soundqubed, and obsidian audio. Any suggestions?

I don't think you could go wrong with either of those, I guess it would now depend on how much you want to spend and how much space you are willing to sacrifice.

Well I was just going to replace my Kicker CVRs with CVXs and I got hammered on my thread last night lol.. They were basically telling me i go do much better for cheaper. So i would say around $150-$200 per sub

Space? yeah kicker gets alot of hate on here. Not bad stuff just too expensive for its performance. How much power do you have available?

The obsidian and soundqubed were the particular two that caught my eyes because they were both about 170 for the 15s. I was just trying to see if any one was better than the others. The CVXs cost about 250 a piece, so if i can do better for less I would love that.

this is going in your truck right? what kind of box do you plan on putting them in or how are you going to face the sub? center console? under the seat? right in the back seat? How much space are you willing to give up?

on that power a single soundqubed hdc3 18 gets my vote. but that would be just plain nasty.

Yeah the two 15s are whats back there now.. Probably go back with two of whatever brand I choose

If you want to save money with the box hit up @Boomsday ; on this forums. He builds nice custom birch boxes for around 120-200 shipped to your door. I know these shops charge you like 300-600 for a box.

Well a pair of obsidian 15s would be nice ..they are pretty solid ..and everyone knows im a aq/sq fan but ive heard some problems with the hds line ...also a hdc3 18 would be pretty nasty as well ..lots of choices ...but the cone area of the obsidians would pribably give u more output since u will only be running 1500 to a pair
