that's more dependent on your box than the sub you buy, unless of course you buy something that's geared 100% for and SPL application which wouldn't sound good on any music except for maybe that reggaeton crap that the mejicanos bump

the american bass would be good .1000 watts rms amp is what you'll be looking at ,with no electrical upgrades

id recommend at least a big three upgrade as our civics were blessed with a 70 amp alt.
