New sub box

I just got a new box for my 15 kicker l7. It's a good box that I bought for 150 and its tuned to 32hz. My old box was crap for like 50 dollars and was way to small for the l7. But, the old crappy box hit harder on songs like mercy by big Sean. The sub looks like its hitting super hard but its not even loud even though the sub looks like it hits hard. I know the problem is that the older box was tuned to like 50-60 hz so it hit harder on songs like mercy. So what can I do to make my sub louder and hit harder on those songs. It's not all songs just songs that have fast fist pumping like beats to it. What can I do?
