Finally replaced my stereo in my car since it died last year. I bought the Kenwood KDC-BT562U.
I noticed my left speaker is a whole lot lower volume than the right speaker, I had to put the balance on +7 of 10 for it to be ok.
I'm looking for new speakers, and an amp.
I'm new to this. I read the thread "How to choose an amplifier." by haemphyst.
I'm looking at Kenwood Kfc-P709Ps 6.5-Inch Performance Series Component Speaker System.
80 Watts RMS
280 Watts Peak
So something like a 600 watt, 2 channel (or 2/4) amp? or is it 1200 watt?
I have a 95 Subaru Legacy LS, there are no stock tweeters I don't think. I could mount them somewhere, but the other question is will my stock alternator hold up?
I think I have this right:
a class D amp 80% efficient, 80 RMS / 80% = 100 watts? (7 amps?)
not sure if the watts on the site is per speaker or together.. together would be 14 amps
I'm assuming my alternator is 85 amps.
