Hey All,

Brand new to this forum, looks good though! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

OK...hm..where to start.

First off, i'll admit to stupidity. I know nothing about Car Audio, but i'm a fast learner and will listen to anything.

OK, So I got a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Although the Stock speakers, are not bad. I want more.

All I know is this is what I want: (correct me if I'm wrong)

4 new GOOD sounding speakers.

2 12" Subs

Some kind of "Stand" or whatever you want to call it that holds the subs in the trunk.

Amp

Car Sterio.

Now remember, I want this to LOOK as good as it sounds.

I'm not really on a budget. But if you think its too expensive, then it prolly is.

lets say...$700 $800.

My car is Blue, and that would be awesome to get a matching theme going on inside as well. EX: Blue subs, blue lights on Sterio...whatever.

I KNOW I'm an idiot, but I figure this was the best place to start, so I dont go to wally world and pick up somthing that's no good..

Thanks

First tip that I give new people: save your money, you don't want to do it over a second time. No matter what you think, you'll eventually want more and spend more money than you'd like. So just save up and do it right the first time.

You'll end up wanting more no matter how much you spend the first time, or how "right" you do it. Greed is a human characteristic, and trying to get as close to "satisfied" as possible means getting more than you bargained for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I'm just looking for some answers.

Don't know what to get. (planning on buying after april or so anyway) just wanted to keep an eye out for what to get..

Hey at least hes taking a step in the right direction coming onto the forums here first to ask questions about whats good or not. I wish I did that before buying my Rockford T1. I still get the //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif reaction from people who hear/see it around my area but they don't know any better. If I had gotten a single Fi Q or RE SX instead the reaction would be more along the lines of:

id say your best bet would be to find a HU that you like in the $200 dollar range...find the features you want via Crutchfield then search ebay or here for it..

get a good set of component speakers for up front and maybe 1 alpine type R 12 in the back in a box made by a forum member....

To begin with, scratch the 4 speakers. Make it a good, well amplified comp set up front and don't use rear speakers.
some people like to have rear speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
