Have you all seen the new HU's from sony! I think they look awesome especially the one with the hard drive and the one that can display pictures. I have a Sony cdm-x610 that I like. If anybody knows anything about the new Sony's tell me what you think.

Yeah sure they look ok but I'm sure they arent made with the quality of a Clarion, Pioneer, Panasonic, etc.... A Sony CDX - M670 was the worst investment for me....was replaced in less than 2 months. With Sony you pay for the brand name, definetly not the quality in the product.

Oh and usually when people say that like this and that kind of product, usually they have never experienced anything else to realize that their is better stuff out there.

Hahaha, we both found out the hard way...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif lol

I don't mind sony hu's I find they are good cheap fun.I don't see how people think they pay for the name SONY when there products are affordable and not bad stuff.

Yeah but a Sony wouldnt hold up anything like a Clarion, Pioneer, Alpine, Panasonic etc. would... The Sony's look nice, and are affordable, but the quality isnt all there.

iam looking for a h/u under about 175 bucks do any of you have suggestions? iam lookin for at least to sub out puts and, 2 preamp out puts, depth mo more that 6 5/8" good power handling at least 42x4 thanks

I would say for the price sony's hold up fine and get the job done.Keep your bass control down and only use the d-bass for fun and they are pretty clean HU's.Later

ok the 2 new top end sony's can keep up with almost anything out there. and i'm talking about the one the first guy was with the vio full lcd screen and 10 gig hard drive built into it. the only problem is no built in amp so you gotta run an amp to your speaker's so not a deck for the newbie's. also the new one that i'm getting in my 626 which is 1500 that has a built in 10 gig hard drive 4 channel amp that is more powerful than anything else that is built in, and you can rip cd's on it. bad a@@ deck like it more than my 9400.

so yes sony can keep up there new top end's run laps around most.

keep it thumpin,

adam

Yeah, the higher end of Sony head units are nice...the low end ones are ok if you just want something that holds up for a while, but you gotta keep the bass control down on the very inexpensive Xplod series.
