Funny you asked. The event happened in 1997. If he wouldn't have fleed the town immediately, he would have ended up in the hospital or dead. There was a race riot earlier in the week between the whites and the blacks that he didn't know about.

There's no need for him to lie about it. He is a very successful man. He is the most successful person that I have personally met. He was shocked at the racism that goes on in the south. Why would he have pictures and a video recording anyway? He stopped for gas in a town that he thought was his destination. Turns out it was a different town with a similar name. The guy at the gas station said what are you doing here? He said I'm getting gas. The guy said no you're not. He first thought the guy was joking. My teacher proceeded to pump gas. The guy went into the garage and got a large wrench and started hitting it in his hand as he approached my teacher. My teacher got into his car quickly and drove off. He reached another town and got gas and told them about it. He was now in a black town that laughed at him for his lack of knowledge about the riot and not knowing that he went into a white town that had a similar name to the town he meant to go to. But this wasn't the only event that had happened to him in the south. This was just more extreme potentially dangerous event than the others.
