New "What I Drive" Section?

Anyone else think the gallery is a little dull these days? Like we discussed earlier, I think modifying it to be more like a ride showcase section might make more sense and revive it into a more exiting place to kill time and compete with the forums. For instance, allow each member to post pics of their car, inside and out. Then lay out in detail their system and any modifications to their car. This would all be on one page, in a condensed format. Members would also be able to leave comments and rate the setup. A link would be posted in your profile for easy access to your "What I Drive" page. Any input, ideas? This is pretty could be implemented relatively quickly, but I'm not totally sold on it, yet.

Thanks for the input. Also, I wanted to add, members will be required to enter certain information about their setup and car. Like, make, model, year, number of subs, etc. This will make it more uniform and informational, than just haphazardly listing information here and there. Members will also be able to customize the color and feel of the page as much as possible. I'm looking into that also.

What would make the comments posted different then any of the comments posted previously in the gallery is beyond me ... I'd imagine that there will be a ton of useless crap posted in there shitting on other peoples vehicles. If possible, allow members to moderate their own page - able to delete the comments left on their page if they didn't want them.

Yeah allowing members to delete crap is a good thing. But that would take a little bit of the truthfulness out of others opinions wouldn't it? It would be a little biased maybe, dunno.
