Just got my new aero port in today from @psychoacoustics; and damn is it beautiful!

I had previously purchased a 9" aero from him and love the quality and performance so much I had to buy another one. lol

This one is 8" diameter and 18" to 28" overall length. adjustable port FTW.

good for a tenth on the meter usually. the thicker the port, the less sound that can go through it and cancel the sound that is supposed to pass through it. if you get what I mean.
Either that, or the added mass lowers the net volume slightly which also raises the tuning of the port just a bit. But I see what you're saying.

I will be wrapping it with a complete layer of murdermat more than likely lol.

It is very stable until you get within an inch or two from the end of the tubes, then she gets slightly loose, but still holds itself up and what not.

It slides very smoothly and the flares and exceptional of course!

the amount that it would lower the volume would be negligible. Its going to be in the .001 cu ft range. a hole role of tape most likely takes up .05 cu ft. if that.

How much was it if ya don't mind me askin?
here is his pricing thread and what not.

repeat customer so I got a little deal too lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

when I initially started my aero port search a couple years back this is exactly what I was looking for. the flares are very smooth and well rounded as well as they're tough as hell lol.

That's pretty slick right there, can't wait to see it in action //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
yea yea buddy... I think they're smexy as hel/. the last one put in serious work so I'm sure this one will get down all the same lol

I'm considering one of these for my next build to easily swap between daily/competition
yeah, i should be able to bring mine from 35hx at 28" of length all the way up to 42-43hz when it's compressed down to 18".

He'll even trim up the inside flare so that you can pull it out of the mounting hole no problem. Makes it easier to sway to a completely different port too if you want.

I want one port to be tuned low (around 32Hz) so I may have to get two different solid ports instead because of the huge length distance. I think the highest tuning I could get with the same port would be around 39-40 Hz... After Timmy puts his car on a TL and finds the peak frequency I'll know what direction to go with mine.

yeah man I was surprised it didn't affect the tuning more going from 28 to 18 inches in length. Yeah my last aero from him was just a solid non-adjustable one and it was solid as a rock lol.
