Back in the early 80s ish a friend of my dads, who I guess was the distributor for H||H in the US, showed up at my dad's shop with one of the amplifiers for my dad to check out.

The guy told my dad he would be amazed.

Listened to it and called the next day and ordered 8 for his proPA rig. (He wasn't into home audio at the time.)

We stopped using them when the system got bigger and we replaced them with QSC MX-2000 & 1500a. The only reason he replaced them was H||H went out of business.

They are legendary to the people who have heard them or have used them.

I took it from the warehouse back home to play with. I switched out my RB-1080 with the V800 and was shocked by the difference. I haven't used the RB-1080 since. I got the P-3 to see if a dedicated pre-amplifier (vs a Processor) would make a difference. And wow it did.

I'm very pleased with the sound of my system now. I never realized how much the Rotel equipment was holding back the sound.

I get yelled at for telling people that preamp design is simple, a few integrated circuits

and you are done. Guess what's inside this beast ? /lol

Their clever marketing claims skew people from thinking IC's.

20 years ago, IC's were considered 'bad joo joo' in audio circuit design along with other

issues like SMPS.

I just don't like it when people come in to someone else's thread and try to **** on it. It's rather annoying.
