If you have the Police package dual exhaust, chop the mufflers and put straight pipes on it. It sounds GREAT. If you are worried about the "rap" add some intercooled exhaust tips. If you want a deeper rumble, put resonators in there or get a bigger H pipe assy. If you really want the "refined performance" sound, get headers (available through Summit), duals with dual x-overs and tips. Bassani sells/sold some nice x pipes for t-birds/mustangs/vics, sounds nice, fills the street beautifully, sounds amazing.
My simple straight piping cost $90 to do at a muffler shop and was worth every penny, dropped like 20 lbs in the process. You dont really NEED 3" duals on a Vic. How often do you push it past 4000 rpm? Not often.
I might also mention that you will want to keep your catylitic converters, they smooth out the backfiring etc. It was pretty funny to see all the shit stuck in them blow out when I first ran it with the strights on.
