pretty decent prices on them.. how is the quality? what would be a better choice for roughly the same price(~250) OCTANE-R 4.0:2 + OCTANE-R 2.5:2 -OR- a Hifonics Z6400?

i mean i like PG amps, but i mean did they concentrate more on cosmetics than performance?

is this a lower line than tantrums, or r they supposed to replace/compete with the tantrums?

i wonder what their birthsheets are and the quality of them. They look pretty nice, but it seems to me that they might have concentrated more on looks than performance, correct me if i m wrong. but them they affordable i think

Octane has always been the best line of PG however it was always pure and very pure quality without huge ammounts of wattages. (10th ann. excluded), the octane-r should be even more quality with high wattages... As normal with phoenix you can expect an underrated product. The lowest line of PG still is the QX line, then comes tantrum, then titanium then octane //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i´m still hoping to go full octane-r

grrrrrrrrrrrr !!!

SPR TPU!"')($U!')U$')"!

pureaudio = crap, Orders@ is bounced.. whattissitwiththesefawkingsites... they wanna sell ur what //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

BIG PS

Octane-r is NOT the octane limited line, the R line is the first PG product line that is ment for a other audience of buyers (the ones with less k´s) and are labeled in MAX POWERS and not in the regular rms values (note the ohms).

As far as i´ve read so far the max power of the octane-r units may be seen as realistic but not for an extended period of time, the 800w max will give you the 800w rms but eventually it will kill your amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Kinda shitty I think since I considered PG the best brand thusfar.. dont think they should have lowered themself (altho it probally still is a *****ass product).

Do like the new compo sets of that series.. shame that they are available only over 3 weeks orso...

Originally posted by denim yeah they are cheap, but I am curious as to their true power, only see the MAX power
Yeah, and if peak is supposed to be exactly x2 the RMS power, they still are fairly powerful...but hey, either they are or they arent - need someone to get one bench tested or see an actual spec sheet before I say anything further:p

I just read the other post about this Bass Cube. IMO, it sounds like a signal leveler with adjustable Q. For that you can just use one of the many...

You said, "one of." How many do you have? I'm guessing that you are keeping the best one(s).
