Well put. I don't want it that way either. Everyone should feel open to discuss and disagree with what they don't like and not worry about what the higher powers might think. Don't worry, it's not going communistic here as long as i'm in the pilot seat.

Did you forget the countless threads in the backroom where every mod said there should be some form of powers in the lounge, even if it's just the ability to close threads? The whole point of moderation is that you aren't as active as 10 regular forum members, so you give your powers to them so people who break the ToS are dealt with accordingly. But when we have to point things out to you that are serious problems it can take days or weeks to be taken care of, if it even gets taken care of at all.
I don't know why are you wasting your time, I agree completely. The problem is all the douches that are only here to cause trouble move to the lounge because they know nothing can be done. We have brought this point to your attention several times. I remember Steve made a post with links to a good 10+ threads that clearly violated the rules, but we couldn't do anything and they were never deleted. Remember when you made a sticky of some post, and the starter threatened Steves life on multiple occasions? Remember the drama with MazdaSpeed? Remember the flood of **** we had in the lounge? Remember the nonsense with big_superman making pretty racist posts? I don't want this to be like the third reich and I surely don't want all posts deleted, I don't know why you think that. As every mod has told you in the backroom, people go to the lounge to blatantly violate the rules and nothing can be done. That's the only issue any of us have ever had on the matter. I don't understand where you misconception of "too much control" stems from. You wonder why all the members that made the forum great a few years back have left.
Quit campaigning to him. HE doesn't pick the mods. There is a VOTE where all members (here for a certain time, so people can't create multiple names and vote more than once) can vote for there top choices for mods! I believe it should be someone who's been here for a while, who KNOWs the forum, and who is well informed about caraudio. It should NOT be, someone with TONS of post here for only a short time...or some1 who just wants to be one and will prolly leave before their term is over. That's just my observation on the 3 mod votes i've participated in! peace
