ok well first i got some questions. i hooked one of my subs up to a prefab box and wired it up to about 225 watts rms. anyways i played it and it wasnt very loud. atleast as loud as i was hoping/expecting. and i think i reached its xmax because i started popping when i turned it up too loud. so then i saw a paper in the box that said something about i need to break in the woofers. now i know this is a very conterversial(sp?) subject but why would they say break it in unless it didnt need to be? and do you think the 2 of them in a custom built box with more watts will be a lot louder than one in a prefab?

only 5.5 mounting depth because they are going behind the seats of my reg cab truck.

I'm guessing it was a sealed prefab? Did it fit within their recommended size?

The point of breaking in subs is to get them to perform as advertised. Until the suspension loosens up, the T/S parameters will not be what they are advertised to be.

ok well i cant port them. i would if i could but i dont have enough space behind my seats.
