Just saw this site and looks pretty cool. I do all my own installing and don't let anyone touch my car usually, so this site will be helpful to me.

I used to pick up a lot of helpful pointers at W-body.com forums in their CA section but it has been dead lately so I will be coming here. any w body owners on here? I got 1990 turbo grand prix's...3 of em.....and an 88 gp 5 speed. My first TGP I got I put a system in it with jl xr 3-way comps up front and 2-way in back with a boston 75x4 amp and a 13w7 with 1200w amp and 3F cap and dual batteries with isolator setup. The system is pretty heavy but the car moves it around easy. I got a newer delco-remy alternator out of a 96 GP and made it fit and it charges my trunk battery good. It reads 15.3 on the cap under load and never drops below 14. running 0awg Kicker hyperflex to my lifeline RV battery in the trunk.

My next system will be with a Boston SPG555 neo magnet sub and will be designed with lightness in mind. all glass, no MDF!!! I am done with wood in car systems, only in my home system, which I line my 15 cabinet with glass as well.haha.

I got a camry with a flux capacitator with 3 subs two in the front and one on the hood and 7 speakers 6 on the dash and one in the head rest and a 55 farad cap to power all of them watts i bet my system is louder and my car is faster

But it still isn't proven that there are NO applications for a Cap.

I'm not saying I have that I have that application. And generally Voltage issues can be solved by adding a battery.
