New to the forum. Live in Sunny North SD County. Not new to car audio, but have gone without for some time. Circumstances have allowed me to venture in again. My new vehicle is an '06 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, factory stock low-end system. Considering a build in 3 stages:

Stage 1) Alpine 149BT, Alpine 445 power pack, JL c2690tx front, stock oem 6.5 rear,

stock oem 3.5 dash, Alpine mrv-m500 amp to JL 10"w3v3 sub.

Stage 2) Upgrade front speakers to cdt 3-way components, Image Dynamics 6x9's, or HAT Imagine

6x9's. Upgrade the rear 6.5 coax fill, upgrade to real 4 channel amp.

Stage 3) Sound deadening of all doors. Upgrade sub to single w-6 or add additional 10"w3 with mono amp upgrade.

Any thoughts or input appreciated. Greg

Greetings from Orange County, CA. If you are planning on keeping the Jeep for a long time I would suggest doing the sound deadening first and focus on the front stage. Maybe even some custom door panels

Mmm, I hear you and I am planning on keeping the Jeep. It's just seems that Stage 1 as is gets me decent sound now I can live with, and a stepping stone to a front stage and SQ down the road. I can't live with the crappy stock system no more. Thanks for the suggestion.
