New law in Florida???

There are several truck drivers in my neighborhood. Although their trucks are loud and awaken me sometimes, that is their occupation, not a modification to their vehicle (like exhaust or subs). I don't think such a law would pass in TN where many folks are owner/operators who drive their semis home.

We have a 25 foot rule in Nashville. But it depends on the music. Rap = not okay, country, old school rock, etc = okay, especially if it is a camaro with t-tops and you have a mullet.

I ONLY THINK its stupid because like most other stupid laws cops will abuse it. They claim its another tool to pull over "the wrong kind of people" but its realy an excuse to harass young folks. If i turn it down at stop lights and around schools,hospitals,etc.....maybe make that a law,but 25ft? Ive heard cell phones from 25ft so if these people get a phone call will they be ticketed?

hahaha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif the hicks who drive around blasting country on thier stock system to distortion with thier glasspacks or straight pipes never seem to bother anyone, but if you were to turn on some rap and have

is the reason why laws like this have to exist. Is it a surprise that this idiot lives in FL? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Personally, i think it's ****ing common sense that you don't drive around after people go to bed and blare your shit at 150db...but as is evidenced by some cocksmokers on this board, not everyone is smart enough to realise it's a stupid thing to do that causes trouble for not only themselves but also anyone else who happens to have a system that is in any way audible from outside of their vehicle.

I HATE THAT YOU ARE RIGHT,i turn my stuff down miles from where im going, and i dont even turn my stereo on untill i am out of my subdivision, i never have it up in parking lots, and never in my neighborhood. I see a cop even if its not up i turn it down. Why advertise that you have a stereo? it says PLEASE STEAL ME. that kid is an idiot. and 150ft i can hear some of those brokeass tweeters and some peoples boom over 150ft. You guys complain about motorcycles but i wonder if a biker would have found that same note on his bike?

agreed...i was thinking about it yesterday...i could lose over 2grand of audio equipment in less than 40 seconds if anyone really wanted to get into my car and jack my shit. Sure, i have an alarm and am heavily armed, so if i happen to be nearby i can shoot said perpetrator several times (then pay thousands in legal bills..."but sir! i felt threatened!")...but i expect if my shit gets jacked, it'll happen when i'm not around to do anything about it.

Music as loud as is being described here is way beyond simply advertising you have a system though...it's reckless abuse. All it takes is a couple thousand bucks and anyone can have a stereo that is capable of rattling shit off of peoples windowsills from a hundred feet away. Thus, laws are made that make it easier for cops to get those reckless abusers fined...unfortunately they also apply to everyone else...and laws are only as restrained as the police officer who happens to hear your car.

25feet IMO is just stupid. Like stated earlier, you can hear a cell phone from that far. And you can hear bass even when turned way down from 25 feet. I would rather it be 100 feet. Its a lil more realistic IMO

its so easy to get out of those tickets which state u cant be heard from 25 ft. they tried to hit me with that when i was younger and i got out of it with ease.
Ok how did youget out of it. Im sure there are a few of us here that would like to know how.

I'm sure if you actually contested it in court you could get out of it. It's not even worth it, since they don't count as moving violations. If you're driving on a major road or on the highway I'm sure they won't even care. Neighborhood roads and shit though, noone likes to hear that. The guy across the street from me has a Best Buy special system and likes to blare it every day, I hope his *** gets a ticket soon. If not someone's gonna jack it.

i love the cops in my neighborhood, they could care less during the day, heck a couple of them soon as they get off of work you hear a system in their vehicles....idk if any of em have put something in their squad cars yet...LOL, but i wouldn't be suprised as well paid as the cops are around here.
