NEW HO alt, still getting voltage drops

Here's the deal. I have a 250 amp alt. I'm running two RE 35.1ds in my car. I'm getting huge voltage drops at about 50% volume. Of course I've done the big 3. Could the problem be that I'm still using the stock battery? Does a good battery make that much of a difference if you have a HO alt? Someone fill me in.

Some voltage drops are at idol, yes, but I understand those. But I still get bad voltage drops while driving.

Good read. That basically told me the alt is doing its job but the battery isn't big enough. Thanks.

i dunno bro? i have an orion 2500D in the mail, an im reading about electrical all the time recently, all i read is people haveing problems, and argueing with each other about who is right? id 'guess' you might need a few caps????????
