New here, sub question

Hello all

I've been out of the game for quite a while. Just traded in my truck that had the same system in it for 6 years. Fosgate T1 15", Fanatic Q components up front, cheeseball Alpine deck, all ran off an old school Memphis Belle, the 50 x 4, 1000 x 1 model. Well, I still have the amp, everything else is gone.

My new car is a Mini Cooper. The stock system is crap. I have most of the system mapped out, except the sub. I don't want to take up very much space, but I would also like to use my 'belle. I'm thinking of a single 8" in a small sealed enclosure.

I have been reading on here about the Sundown SA-8, DD 1508, and Kicker L7 8. I was thinking I would need to get a dual 2 ohm and run it at 4 to the amp, unless you think one of these can take the power the 'belle throws out at 2 or 1 ohm.

I have a couple Apex Jr. Super 8" in my mustang running off 300 RMS, and love them, but there is no way they would hang with my amp.

So, whats the hot ticket these days?

SA8v2. Not sure how much power it can handle daily, but I would say atleast 600. Maybe talk to @SPLaudio, he might be able to build you a custom 8 that will handle 1000 watts
