I have a 2001 chevy tahoe, has onstar and factory amp, the onstar is anolog so it no longer works, Im wanting to replace the factory cd player. ive searched and i keep getting mixed thoughts, Do I need the 100 dollar wiring kit to install a after market cd player in this vehicle? Im not worried about the onstar not working, and if it matters it also has the rear audio controls, which im not worried about either..I pulled the factory and it has 2 plugs on the back, I believe a 21 pin and a 9 pin, i think.. some say the regular 21 pin wiring harness will work, others say it want.

thanks in advance
