Hi everyone. Nice forum you got here. Very busy I can see. Anyway, down to It. I have a 2010 Chevy equinox with the base audio system. This means I'm running 6 standard speakers 2 tweeters 2 front door speakers (maybe 5 1/2's) and 2 rear door 6's. Now my equinox has a factory installed sub but it is not active in any way. Dunno why gm put it in if they weren't going to hook it up? Anyway my main problem is ... I want to throw in a PAC line output converter (4channel). I would just hook it up directly to the factory subwoofer wiring to keep my mono frequency correct BUT as I said before there is no active subwoofer wiring from the stock amp. So how could I make a mono frequency so I'll be able to hook up my class d amps?? I've been searching for help for quite some time about this

I want to ask if you are 100% sure there is actually a sub back there. GM has a habit of making the same panel for every vehicle but only those with the premium audio package get what goes behind that panel. Secondly, If you are wanting a mono signal for a class D amp, I have to wonder why you want to install a 4 channel LOC? With that aside, because you do not have the premium audio your signal will come from the back of the HU. I understand this is not a mono signal, but it will convert the lower frequencies into an RCA signal to send to the amp. Hook up the LOC like normal and set the xover on the amp to filter out all but the lower frequncies. More than likely you amp is going to have a stereo signal input and them sum the signal inside of it.

I recommended a 4 channel loc for myself because that's what I keep seeing people use to run there mono amps off . If I'm not correct please correct me is appreciate it. Yes there is a sub back there its all wired up and everything just the factory amp doesn't have and sub out built into it. Gm prolly did this in case of premium pioneer stereo upgrades
