New headunit Possibilities

i was looking at some head units, and i can't decide on wich one. But i was told to make sure i get a good voltage one, and i was told eclipse have the highest voltage. So what do you all recommend. in the 400-600$ range.

Sure, eclipse rocks, also check out Kenwood Excelon and Alpine. Both have excellent high end equipment. The voltage that you are refering to is the RCA output signal voltage. Most of those high end HU's have around 4 volts out which is a good strong signal. The RCA out volts is for signal strength to external amplifiers.

don't follow the hype and get an rockford, man i got one (stop laughing) and it has got to be the suckiest **** that has ever sucked a ****.....................my brother sony deck can handle more shit than my rf it is just a real disappiontment....but i hear jvc's new line is really outstanding

i've had the same jvc hu for the past 4 years. granted it's definately not the prettiest but i got no complaints. i've never had the lens cleaned either (i know, i know, i'll hang my head in shame later) and i've installed it in 3 differents cars and still works the same as when i first bought it. so as far as that goes, i'm pretty impressed. even so i'd definatley recommend an eclipse hu for the shear fact that alot of work goes into the craftsmanship. definatley a high quality head unit
