JVC HUs are better then Pioneer, but if you are looking for "walmart" quality then buy a pioneer.

Any head unit with an internal amplifier is NOT a top notch sound quality deck.

I used to think the exact same way you do. But after using my Premier 860 in USAC competitions I would have to retract my old statements.

Not many if any units in production today would qualify. Certainly not Pioneer or Eclipse or even Alpine anymore for that matter.

is it possible with the pioneer 880 to control the pioneer INNO (for XM RADIO) ? (or other kind of portable xm radio)

i doubt it, unless they make a cable that lets you plug the inno into the ipbus
