Well do you see yourself going with an active setup ever? If not, then just grab the 780. The 880 really wouldnt benefit you to much.No i don't care about blue tooth... that's why i think ill go with 780... but some ppl tells me that 880 is much better so im not that sure ?
1. Yes, you do get what you pay for, but there are many HU brands that offer affordable units in all price segments and any will do the job just fine and last a long time doing it.1. My point on the home CD units was meant to be absurd to prove a point. Yes there are crappy home units for sure, you get what you pay for!
2. However, in the car audio realm if one was truly seeking top notch sound quality or if it was the manufacturer's intent to provide it, internal amplification would not be necessary or provided. Being able to turn it off is OK, however if the unit was built with SQ in mind it would not have amplification in the first place.
3. People looking to assemble a top notch SQ system are not interested in a deck and four speakers sans amplification.
4. Not many if any units in production today would qualify. Certainly not Pioneer or Eclipse or even Alpine anymore for that matter.
I vote for the 780 or 7800 (same HU really, just one is Pioneer and the other is Pioneer Premier). Although, take a look at the new 6900UB.No i don't care about blue tooth... that's why i think ill go with 780... but some ppl tells me that 880 is much better so im not that sure ?
JVC HUs are better then Pioneer, but if you are looking for "walmart" quality then buy a pioneer.
By your very definition then all mainstream HU's should **** (which they don't).JVC HUs are better then Pioneer, but if you are looking for "walmart" quality then buy a pioneer.
