i installed my premier double din from pioneer today i had the same unit just not premier before. im noticing one thing when a song comes on only when a song comes on its very faint in the backround u can hear a very light white noise if you will it doesnt change it stays the same and is only when the song is actually playing im wondering if its just because i have all new speakers and headunit and the sound is just that much louder and im hearing more depth or is there maybe a ground issue or something else? my car requires the special harness to keep my factory warning chimes but i saw bad things about cheap ones so i bought the expensive one maybe that could be a issue i double checked its wired up perfect any help appretiated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hmm interesting...i have herd of this happening the entire time the car is on and the deck is on. just to clarify, it does not happen when the deck is on, volume up(to normal listening level) and no music is playing?

no only when a song actually plays through it and weather i use my ipod or a cd lets say it was all the time what would it be the only reason i ask is because i had the same headunit just not premier and the cheap chime harness i upgraded to the more expensive ones and boom i hear this sound so for me confusing im hoping its just from extra clarity using better stuff but again like u say if its all the time what could it be? i used different connectors for the wires instead of wire nuts like usual but everything works so i cant see how that could be the culprit? also it does seem to kinda (dirty) the music if u will at higher volume levels

apologize for terrible grammer.

haha no problems dude i am dyslexic so my grammer is horrid aswell...

anyway it would/could be a bad ground but heres what i would do:

1)swich the cheap harness out for the expensive one and see if it still does it.

no change, then:

2) put the nice harness back on and put your old deck in if you still have it.

questions of mine:

1) did you buy this new premier deck used or how did that deal go down?

2) did you use the same ground that was used on your old deck with this new deck?

bought it from authorized dealer new and grounded same way through the chime harness idk why but my gut tells me that might be the culprit even though its hooked up perfect and the best one u can get sumthin just makes me feel thats it or im looking into it to much and its just the n ormal sound u hear when a song plays but im pretty sure before this install i never heard that faint faint static

one other question my headfunit has an option to turn off the internal amp is that so when i install my new amp i can just run the wires from the amp to the speakers without having to disconnect them from the harness in the radio?

listeneed to it again today iot sounds like they are all just distorted this is abnormal the olther one didnt do this is it more of a chance to be radio or wiring?
