New Havoc's or hdc3 12"

I had the same decisions to make. I personally chose to go with a more efficient system overall to not have to upgrade the alt or worry about voltage. It is, in the end, up to you though.
If I had to guess. The HDC3 would have an edge in overall loudness, but that is speculation. I don't have all the specs on the driver. If your looking for something that has great SQ, I would look to the Havoc.
what amplifier are you going to be running? and how many subs you gonna get...12's?? i bet the Havoc will still get loud as all hell though. i am leaning towards the Havoc. but i just like the versatility of the HDC3, you can put 1500wrms, or you can put 2500wrms (music), in other words, its got a lot more opportunity for improvement. ugh i just want someone to post a video of both...

They are 2 completely different subs.
and......what the **** is your point????? do you have any other input?? wow, good post! and i am glad you are smart enough to know that....being different brands and all, of course i know they are completely different subs. if they were the same i wouldnt be having this issue now would i?? so they wont both get extremely loud??? cuz thats what i am looking for. im not looking for just spl or just sq, i want SQL, and guess what, i am certain that both speakers have a good enough amount of each. cuz thats what i am looking for.. not for some joker so tell me something i already know.

and yeah thats why i am trying to get all the info i can get, they are different, and i cannot choose....its not entirely up to the decision of the subwoofer. its the system as a whole. dont post your gay vague comments anyway....remind me never to go to crunkville...sounds like its full of dumb people.

wow. I think you misunderstood what he meant. The two subs in question have 2 totally different goals.
well elaborate.....

your goals may be different than my goals.

they both have the capabilities to satisfy my goals. loudness. both are great heavy duty daily driving subs, both get loud (im sure)....im not looking to compare the a sub to something identical. Just want opinions of the specific subs in question, not arrogant comments.

also, imo i dont think they are completely different subs anyway. whats so different about them (desides specs), both will hit the lowers very well, both have great spl and sq, both made for heavy duty daily driving....maybe the HDC3 is more for competition. but as for being a daily driver, i think they are pretty similar. PLEASE correct me if i am wrong/being dumb....

the specs are totally different. I'll let someone more technical go into detail about the specs. the havoc seems more versatile because it can be sealed and ported while the hd3's are ported only drivers. The havoc has a high xmax while the audioque has a really strong motor. basically, both subs use different methods to get loud. the havoc should have less distortion due to it's 30mm of xmax though. Like I said somebody else should chime in to better explain the technical aspects of both subs.

so...of course they have different specs. some cars use a supercharger to go fast, some use turbos, either one could be faster than they other. the HD3 has a higher xmax than the havoc....but, yes, also has much tighter suspension. either or its all about the install...

you said it...they both have different methods of getting what???....LOUD...thats all i am lookin for. so when you say they are different, you mean that the specs of the speaker are different. either way they both can accomplish what i want. loudness. its sort of out of context to tell me they are different. more want someone to get on here and say "get the havoc, because....." or "get the HDC3, because...."

but none the less i do appreciate your advice. its just not the advice i am looking for.

If all you care about is loudness (or like some dummy above, how much power a coil can handle), then get the HDC3 and quit complaining about the help you receive. Personally, I would get the Havoc. At the very least, you're comparing a sub that is available against one that isn't.

****, you are a touchy little guy aren't ya?

hey, what do you think is faster, the 2009 vette or 2010 viper? and do you think they will look nice? which one will look nicer? that's the type of question you are asking. i think there are two people that have seen and heard the HDC3 on this board so everything on here is speculation, and there is already a crap ton of specualtion in the HDC3 thread.

but here you go: If the HDC3 is anything like the HD3, that's the driver you want. you want loud? you need power, so how loud you want to go is up to you. IMO the HD3 is very musical and i think they sounded great, and got loud. To some others, they are just bangin subs. it really depends on the install. never heard a havoc, but they aren't in the same league as the HD3.

and btw Mr. Crabby, stick around for a while and you'll see how many threads like this pop up when new subs are released.

I am honestly torn between 2 Arsenal 15's and a single Havoc 18. I will be running just over 1k watts to whatever I option I chose. I would personally chose the Havoc in your position. The overall cost is lower, it "should" sound better, obviously your box will determine that, and will have a smaller impact on your electrical if both are given RMS. Just my opinion though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

imo. id go havoc. i heard good things about the old ones and new ones.

loud, great sounding daily beater.

Like a fi q on roids lol.

instead of 1000 watts i bet they can take 2000 watts and sound great. but id run prob no more than 1800 to the havoc to be safe.
