i want a new head unit but im not up to date on whats the good brands out there and what i need to go with, so can someone help me pick out my new deck?

im lookin to spend about 350, around that price

There was a used Alpine 9835 on sale here for that price not too long ago...would be a really capable deck for you.

Humm, 350 bucks will get you a very nice head unit. Any Kenwood Excelon, but for that price range you can go KDC-X790 and above. Pioneer Premier 6800, 7800 are very nice units. A good place to start.

yeh i have a kenwood kdc somethin in my car now, whast a better brand Pioneer or Kenwood, im lookin for something with the screen that does visual effects and has a good equalizer built in.

I hear the most common way to blow the internal ground on the RCA's in the pioneer units is messing around with it while it it powered on. I of course am biased toward Pioneer as I have ran Pioneer decks for a very long time.

Pioneer has excellent grafics, but it sounds to me like maybe you ought to look at an Eclipse.

i really like that one,

i hear alot of people talk about eclipse being the best unit on the market, but i see alot of people with pioneer in there car, even in magazines.

i wanted an eclipse, but you gotta get the CD7000 in order to get a detachable face, and that was a lil out of my price range. and the detach face is a MUST around here.
