I see no differences between the Excelons 05 to 06

Usually when they get the inventory of the 06s

they usually discount the 05s close to Egay prices

The faceplate colors on the 899/890. Also the 890 has a USB port. I liked the other one because it had sirius/hd built in.

I feel I am stuck with the pioneer for this reason. I have the pioneer xm tuner because that terk is a POS. Since only pioneer uses Ip-BUS, I am stuck with pioneer.

Connect non-ipods as an auxullary input I would suppose.

Crutchfield's prices are stupid expensive

Their prices are generally at or near MSRP but the service you receive from Crutchfield is second-to-none. Tough to beat a 30-day, No Questions Asked returns policy as well. Own it for 4 weeks then decide you don't like something as simple as the colors of the buttons or the way the trim ring sits against your dash - call 'em up, get an RMA#, send it to 'em, and get a full (no percentage taken out for "restocking") refund.
All the install accessories they send you for free if your purchase is above a certain dollar amount is a really nice touch, too.
