NEW EQ Same HU?

hello fellas new to the site-im running a set of infinity 6.1 perfects(in the door fully deadened) powered by one eclipse P4212 135+2 4ohm-waiting for a pair of mtx 8500 12"s to come in free from from MITECH. anyways just ordered a Audio Control eqx dual band EQ with built in crossover to control the highs on those tweets(make your ears bleed!!!) now heres the delima- would a high end hu such as alpine 9835 effect the contol of the audio control eq? i know the alpine has all these litlle do-dads on it-currently i have a panasonic 9303 (bass+treble-no eq-crossover 80-120hrz-sub control) y'all think i should just keep this hu or run with a better hu-even though im running with a Audio Control EQ

the audiocontrol will have the same control whether or not you get the better h/u, that's not saying the new alpine or w/e won't help out your adjustablity quite a bit

you think it will sound any better than what i got? this set up i got is super loud. on my old set-up (infinity reference components,mtx 404 4 ch,2 mtx 10" 6000,mtx 801d) i had to turn the volume up to 27 now i can barely handel 20. what a big difference dynamat,stron amp and better components can do for you. only downfall is i hear a weird power surge in the woofers if the radio is kindda turned up loud when i first crank up the truck- i hope all i got to do is get a 1.5 capasitor back ther.

i wouldn't get a cap, look in search the forums for the BIG 3, do that and you should be fine, also, if you're happy w/ your current setup, why change it.....

btw, you may want to try grounding the headunit seperately to get rid of that surge when you first turn it on

what is the big 3-i dont have time to search the forums on friends computer. on power surge i never heard it before i got this new set up. hell i dont know

try regrounding your H/U, the big 3 involves the 3 main wires in your engine bay

1. alt to engine block

2. batt. to alt

3. batt to ground

replace those w/ bigger better wires and usually you see a big difference
