New Ebay Alpine MDR 1005 or 2nd hand 2 y/o MTX 8100D???

Hello.

I AM going to buy one of these two amps:

1. 2nd hand 2 year old MTX 8100 D in good condition

2. Brand new Alpine MRD M1005 off ebay.

Both amps pretty much come with no warranttee, the ebay site is pretty good some of my mates have got stuff off their with no problems.

I am going to be running 2 Alpine 12" Type R subs from the amp. I want something that will bring the most out of the subs without risking any damage to them, as i am not a full on pro, so i may not be able to know if im damaging them.

Out of these 2 amps, to power to TYpe R's, what would you go for?

How are the MTX's for reliability?
