Pioneer is definately the way to go. I wouldn't touch a kenwood non-excelon product; they've never really impressed me for their price.

i love my pioneer, great deck

very user friendly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pioneer

Pioneer has never dissatisfied me. You should see if she would go one step higher and get the 8600. It has at least twice as many options as the 7600. With discount it comes out around $300.I work at best buy, and the discount is pretty good with car audio stuff. I never had a kenwood, but my buddy does and it sounds good but the faceplate doesn't look to attractive. i would only buy a higher priced JVC if your going for looks. But its your choice. go pioneer.

With those two choices, the Pioneer is a no-brainer. A third pre-out, high voltage makes it the way to go. I do prefer the display in the Kenwood though. And the Kenwood's a HELL of a lot easier to use.

Allthough Best Buy can get the Kenwood 925 - that's the one I'd go for, given the chance. I also like that afforementioned JVC. The 8600 does jump you up to the nicer 24bit DACs though, so it sounds better with a system.

id go pioneer as well. but not 8600 the motorization ive seen give out to much nice head unit though. if you get a jvc just get the service plan cause next year when a new deck comes out just say your display keeps going out from time to time and they will give your credit you paid for the deck towards a new one. same goes for sony. pioneer and kenwood have to be sent in for service.

are you sure its the 8600, i know the 9600 motorization went out fairly common, but not 8600. i have the premier 860 which is supposed to be better than the pioneer one. its pretty much the same except it has 6.5 volt pre outs, and some diff options

Pioneer X 10
More customers return their broken Kenwoods to me than any other three brands combined that I carry

kenwoods dont break they self destruct //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/omg.gif.05aa02c3095d6ce9338996654eca0863.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wowflash.gif.89a61f4caede63a11dac36e97d61323e.gif when they work and when you figure them all out they arent that bad but the when they work part is the toughy
