NEW credit card scam

Something I thought about. I was going through some paperwork a few weeks ago from my college. It wa in a machine sealed envelope and was of the type where a printer strikes the information on the outside which transfers to the paper via carbon. I used to just throw them out, however after looking at the carbon, I found that ALL of my information, including my social and student number were clear as day embedded into the carbon portion. This is just something I noticed while thinking of ways to prevent identity theft.
