New car

never had a problem with any american car i've had.
I've got 3 cars...a 1997 Suburban, 1994 Acura Vigor and now a 1995 Miata. Every week it seems like something is breaking on the suburban but the Acura got to 210k before I finally threw a rod, and the miata has 113k and has just been upgraded to autocross ready...

my jeep went to 250k and it was still going strong when i sold it. my car now has been all over, florida and minnesota twice and it has 152k. my grand prix had 187k before i sold it

So you are basing it on one car?

I have owned over 20 vechichles in my life and only 30, lol!

Anyway, I have had way more problems with import cars than domestic. I have thrown so much away in imports it isnt even funny. I still like imports, just rather have domestic.

 
my van had a fuel leak probem an tranmition leak problem a serpentine belt problem and the computer has gone bad like 4 times. The first 3 cost me about 80 bucks to fix all 3 and the 4th cost about 3 grand plus. Good thing i didnt have to pay for it. Fucking computers

Well go get an import and have all those things happen, then come back with a price, lol!

 
Ok, first things first. He was told ahead of time that it had a salvage title. The truck was in the shop for 3mths getting the 4link/sheet metal work, & wheel tubs done to it. I owned it for 6 months total. 1 week after I got it back, I went through everything (oil, plugs, wires, filters, etc.) never had a problem with it before or after the shop time. The second week I had Kenny said he wanted it. We meet, he took it for a drive, and then took it home. I never had anything to hide from him or anyone else. In fact, I suggested that we wait a day or to, to get things in order, and to make sure thats what he wanted to do. He insisted that he wanted to dive up and pick it up that night. As far as the brakes, if there was something wrong with them, it was something that I had no knowledge of prior to him buying it from me. I've never been one to screw anyone else over. It's happened to me, and I wont do it to anyone else. The quote I was told by Kenny to get the brakes fix sounded like he was being taken for a ride from the shop he took it to. Changing pads/shoes is not a big deal. It's an easy & cheap fix, and is part of regular maitenance with a car/truck. I'm not going to get a bad rep here in this forum just because something that was out of my control happend with a used car. by the way, i think it was you that had 2 rlp 15's plus 7 cubes = 150db or something? what kinda power and vehicle did you do that in?

A buddy of mine has a couple rlp 15's and just bought an 89 probe and is going to put them in there.

IMHO it is never the sellers fault in an instance like this. Kenny should have taken it to a respectable shop, gotten everything inspected and waited longer than a day to make his decision. My parents have now been lookin at cars for over 3 weeks and still are not sure. You cant decide in a day much less a night if you want a car. I will never buy a car with out an inspection by a reputable mechanic. Just my .02 in my book your in the clear for sure as i see nothing that you have done wrong.
