Man, where do u think ur gonna get 8-10k to spend on a car at age 16? You just bought that blazer? And how the **** do you afford all this shit that you buy? Robbing atms ftw?

BTW where do u work

Kenny your a smart kid, but when it comes to things you want, you pretty much do what it takes to get it. Not always a good thing. Matter of fact usually never. So you bought the Blazer on what was probably a whim and thought, why air bag setup, nice rims, room for a sweet system, that bish is mine. You need to think shit through and through. Again I ask where are you parents at and what do they think of this stupid shit you do?

If i had 10k to throw away i'd be gettin a 97 z28 camaro up in lincoln. 5.7 L V8 t tops 47k miles nice wheels good paint damm its nice i want it. Mommy can i get it? OK son...but u only have 100 thousand left in gifts from us till your 18 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That is probably true, or else he knows someone else he is close to that could help him. Either way, it is retarded. He had a perfectly good dd in the LHS. Yeah some shit happened, but it happens with a lot of older cars. I say should have kept the LHS, hell you put in all kind of money into it. Then its yours through and through. Had a sweet system before you even did the wall and just enjoyed what you had. I dont get never being pleased with what most would die for.

i'm fine with my 96 bonneville. it gets me around just like a 20k car does.

it's just so retarded for a 16 year old to blow their money on a car. i mean i have a checking, savings and retirement fund. sure i could buy an expensive car, but i'll just be loosing money on it and won't have any savings or retirement. by the time i'm 60 i'll be a millionare an ole kenny will be riding around in his 8k car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I work two jobs... gave my mom a nice down payment and she "financed" the rest with me. The money I owe on it is sitting in my driveway... my 1996 Chrysler LHS I have yet to put up for sale (I've been restoring it to stock condition).

Sure, you might not like my decisions... and bigbang: you're correct, I bought it on a whim. I've admired it forever and when the offer was up for me to bought it, I did.

Noticed a lot of body roll, scraping around every corner (which I guess is expected, it is bagged), blind spots and lots of road noise. Sure, a lot can be fixed, but I don't have the money to fix it... and with the money I spent on it I could've bought a nicer STOCK car. My brakes went out the other day and they have been working randomly... put it on the lift today and found out I need a new brake master cylinder, new rotors, new brake pads and the roads down here are a bit crappy to have a bagged ride.

I didn't even want to sell it, but a friend offered what I paid for it in cash. It also has a salvage title, so it's value is not $8,000.

I have had many cars, from used to new. Have two newer ones currently. I have always had problems with cars being I was never happy. So I am trying to give him some tips so he is not to fall in same situation as me. Thing is when I was 16, I was driving in a 250 charger that I called the flintstone car. Hell, I had that car for 2 years and thought it was the shit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I mean yeah, now I have the money for the most part to pay for all my shit, but hell I could do so much more if I didnt have 2 cars. I am gonna be selling the 1 this spring so I can put some money down on a house and have money for baby things. Hopefully one day he will see the light. I am sure eventually it will hit him.

Dude, I would just keep the LHS. I thought you sold it to get the blazer. Now knowing that you still have it, I would just keep it. I mean unless you sold everything from the rims to all the sound equipment, I would just drive the shit out of it. Looks nice and have done a lot too it. Why do you want to get rid of it so bad. You could once again fall in the same type of thing even if you get an 8-1000 dollar vechichle. Best thing you could do is get a car fax so you know the history on it and go from there.

I recommend something like a honda civic, prelude. Gets good gas mileage and if you ever want to sell it should hold its value good. Which I would check into since you dont seem to be happy with what you have.

How the **** do u work 2 jobs and go to school? SLeeping IS overated..but still..
I haven't been going to school... but here we go: I'm gonna get flamed for being a "drop out" or whatever you'd like to call me. I still go to school, just not as much as I should be. That will all be fixed very soon.

bigbang: I'm gonna fix the ****** with the money I get from the Blazer and drive it until I can find another car or until someone makes me a sweet offer.

My insurance is $320 a month... soon to be less. It was $450 a month when I first got the Blazer, pulling a lot of strings.
