Honestly my budget is pretty low at the moment. Im getting the type x's for 100 a piece (brand new) from a good friend of mine. Before the type x's i was thinking about getting three type r's instead which i was also planning on getting them from another guy i know for 85 a piece (also brand new) but i was not planning on the x's needing so much more to power them. Overall most of the equipment i was planning on getting was under half the price of retail stores and its all brand new, this is also how i was going to get my amps, caps, wiring, anything needed. So i guess my budget is about 800 but i can get almost any part for less than half price which really helps. I feel like im not giving you guys enough info but i really am working with a low budget which is why im buying everything from friends who either have this equipment or can get this equipment brand new, very cheap. So now that i got all of the feedback from everyone on this thread, my questions are:
- Can i hook up 2 or 3 type r's without needing another battery?
- What is the difference between a custom box and a pre fab? (i know the difference between the 2, i just don't understand what difference it makes in sound quality due to my subs if that makes any sense)
Basically im trying to hook up 2 or 3 subs, 1 or 2 amps, and maybe a cap if needed (judging by what everyone said, i dont need one) Will gladly do the big 3 upgrade because it just seems smart, all without having to add anything extra to the mix such as a battery, bigger alternator, or anything like that.
