are new brutus more reliable than old models,cause i have read so bad things about old line i'm afraid to touch them.

Dont even touch the brutus line, if your serious and want to get something good get a USAmps Merlin MD2 that will blow that amp away. Go to http://www.usamps.com and find a dealer near you and call them up to see how much their selling them for, if you dont have a close dealer then call the closest one and ask them to ship you one.

you know what...ive been told that hifonics has been sold SOO many times that an awesome name has went downhill. But the OLD OLD OLD OLD line while they were still independantly owned i heard are still amazing.

The brutus line of amps is not that bad, they are reliable amps that are great on a budget. They are however, like nearly all cheap amps, a bit overrated...so don't expect to get rated power out of them, but you're not going to see amounts too much lower either.

I had the bx1000d for a while running at 1 ohm. Never heated up on me, never had any issues with it what-so-ever and now it's making someone else happy...good on a budget, but plan accordingly on a bit of overratedness and get subs that will fit with the actual wattage being produced.

but, ive had it for about 7-8 months and absolutely no troubles yet. i think i would like a more solid amp for my xxx15, though. its a good budget amp i guess, but i would like to put at least the rms power of 1600 watts to it.

i was using my xxx15 like my 9515.same power handling.one earthquake 200dhc each coil.1400wrms each coil(2ohms).2800 total.

but must be careful when you smell the varnish of coil it's close to death.turn it down.you can use one more brutus.
