New Brit on the block!

Hello from Manchester, England!! I've joined for some tips and information, and a little chat along the way.

Currently driving a 2001 Renault Megane (so that's one major issue identified right there), which I don't want to do anything much to, as I am holding out on finding a decent Nissan Silvia Turbo and do any serious work on that. It's still going to take me several months to pay this wreck off, but whilst driving it, I want it to be comfortable and one of my comforts is music, though unfortunately, this is where things have become.... rather annoying. The reason why I will tell you later!

Other than music, I enjoy archery, windsurfing, rock climbing, mountaineering, kayaking, computer gaming (mainly driving ones) and learning new languages.

You've never heard of a nissan silvia?

Its the japanese version of the 240sx basically, but came with the SR20DET instead of the crappy KA24DE. Front end is different for the S13 and S15.

Its an SR20DET, not TT. TT would indicate a twin turbo motor.

That renault thing your driving oughta be the most brutal lookin vehicle i have ever seen in my life.

If' you're looking at the 2001 hatchback edition, it drives worse than it looks and getting even the most simplest of parts, it's an expensive nightmare!
A quick run-down of the problems I've had since I've had it.

Spark plugs have stopped working

Seat hight adjust handle broken off... without anybody even touching it

Starter motor has died... 3 times

Motorised window cable has snapped, £200 ($306) to get it replaced.... smeg that!!

Boot (trunk) locking mechanism seized

Central locking system failure

Rear suspension broken in half

Chassis suffering from severe corrosion

I think I will stop there, you should be getting an idea of how naff this car is!
