Ran to HD at lunch and picked up 2 sheets of Baltic Birch. Build will start Saturday, so I'll post a few pics then.

Each box will be 3^3 @ 34Hz and housing a 15" RL-P. ONLY way to find out the difference compared to the 2.5^3 @ 30Hz boxes I'm running now.

And I like making sawdust and wanted to try the BB as I've never worked with it before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Not chilly, balls a$$ cold!!! But I have a torpedo heater so it's all good.

Got all the panels cut tonight. I'll get some pics tomorrow during the assembly. Eyes are burning too bad from the heater to deal with the camera right now. If I left the garage door cracked open for fresh air then the snow would blow in.

BB makes very little dust compared to MDF - FTW

$hitload of splinters in my hands - FTL

A good friend gave me this on permanent loan last summer, sure makes cutting things easier.

Cuts came out pretty well considering I could barely feel my fingers. Only problem was my math at 2am was less than stellar, so new specs are 2.9^3 @35Hz, thanks to cutting a few panels 1/2" short //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Flush bit, roundover bit, and a hand sander and she's looking pretty good. But some idiot forgot to put the bracing in, so I'm heading down to do that now. Then a little finish sanding and stain.

I'll start assembling the 2nd box tonight. Think I'm going to just throw some stain on them for a different look.

One other interesting thing happened. When doing the driver cutout I was getting ready for the 3rd pass and I see smoke. Look at the sawdust in the groove and it was on fire!!!! Didn't hit a screw, so not sure how it caught on fire. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

lookin good

but why would you build two boxes, only to throw one away? shouldve whipped some graphs up to see how it will act in each enclosure, and pick the best one for your needs
