New box and amp rack!! Pics

how does that 8 sound in such a small cabin?. does it fill out the low end well?

i'm debating on going w/ an 8 or 10 in my ext.cab silverado. just can't see losing all of that LFE from my current 15 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

but alittle bass is better than none at all, right?

It fills the cabin very good!! My other box deffenetly filled in the low end very well but the box its in right now dosen't have as much low end. It is a lot louder and peaks very quick when I go through freq drops and what not. I didn't get a lot of time to actully listen to it today, I got right into building and was tired of putting it in, taking it out, putting it in, taking it out. The box is pretty stinkin heavy when everything is mounted, lol. You will lose some of what your 15 used to give you. I had dual LI 12's in my car before i got the truck and I deffenetly wish the 8 could put out like them but owell. Like you said, a little is better then none.

All the priming is done!! Letting it all dry over night. I didn't get quite the affect I was hoping for with the wood putty. I guess I didn't counter-sink the whole's good enough. Next box I do I will counter-sink deeper and hopfully that will allow the wood putty to do its job.

I'm putting the first coat of black paint on right now. I'll have pics of fully painted project in a couple hours. Hopfully it will only need one paint and then I can get it installed and everything setup...

Well foks, thats all there is. I might take some more pics when I have rerouted the speaker wire from the port and when I finish hiding all the other wires. I think it came out pretty well, the wood was very hard to keep clean, as you can tell from most of the pics. I might shine her up when I finishe everything else. Thanks for all the comments guys, I still might be doing some lettering but that will also be at a later date.

It was my first time painting on MDF. I had heard that it likes to sook up paint and I didn't want that to happen. There are a couple of things I'd change now that I'm finished but hey, this isn't some show car or competitoin car, its my daily driver, and it makes me happy. That be all that matters, that and its REALLY stinken loud!!! Everyone's like," you put a second 8 or 10 in there" No one beleved it was the same sub I have had, lol.

Nah, I love the look of black!!! It goes with my personality and a running joke with my freinds. (I have a lot of black stuff just so I can match my truck, don't ask inside joke...)

Blah finally got around to getting a vid up. Its in my old box off my old amp. I'll probably make another better one tomorrow. Current box yeilds better excursion then this box did, not overly impressed with this actully vid but its better then nothing...
