I see what you mean. It says at clipping, but the chart says at 1%thd. Either way, well below rated and we know how these chinese amps work; its gonna get dirty quick

He did state the THD is very high. The 3.2k is tested at clipping and when its clipping, its power output will drop significantly due to efficiency. He states it was decent efficiency when its clean, he did not state anything when its clipped. Hence I relabled 2.5 to 2.7k which is more realistic clean power. Still not too bad if the amp was around 350 new. But 480, the amp can die in a fire. 380 that hertz mafia found isnt too bad but when there's FSD's on the market, its a no brainer. Also saw a taramps hd8k for 400 plus ship recently on FB classifieds as well.

The link for 389 is "ok" for the power. But certainly, any good deal on a korean is better.

These amps fit the category of AP and Hifonics user most likely; people looking at AP likely have ****** electrical, may or may not have a HU that delivers good clean line voltage etc.

Some of us that have HO alts, good HUs, good wiring etc can use these amps with good success. If i needed an amp, id try one if they were around 300 and thats all I had. But approaching 400, there are koreans to be had

Fsd is Korean. The 3800 is the flatline fl2, the 5000 is same as b2, encore 4500 and 2 others. They say manufactured in South Korea

actually my buddy has bare bone stock electrical, runs 0 gauge to an apcl 1500 on a zvx 18 on a cheap kenwood 4 volt preout head unit. Pretty good results. also have type R coaxials and a ct 125.2. First system ever and got an easy 142..... I wish i had a bass bud like myself hunting deals when i first started out.

I have the AL3500 which is just the fsd3800 with upgraded caps.. its a beast. Its stronger than my dd m3 and my aq3500 was. Been wired at 0.5 for just about a year daily, never protected or even got warm.

^ that. It seems like they were a chinese distributor of korean products. AL has a whole line of subs, amps, comps, pa mids, tweets etc. It all looks rebadged. Ive heard that the comps sound very good tho
