New, are these good?

Components sound a lot more detailed than stock speakers. Since you want it to sound clear I'd definately get the comps. I'd go with a bigger sub amp than that Kicker but if you don't get power hungry subs it'll work. You may want to consider the new Audioque 2200d amp. For the money it sounds like a great amp.

Hmmm, so atomic's are good, i saw somebody with a sig with atomic in it?

Would i need power/battery upgrades to run the HDC315-A? Two of them?

as stated by others, your choices are endless......

me personally I would get a whole "system" not jusst subs and amp...bc if you spend a grand just on that you will have tons of money to spend on electrical upgrades and then it wont sound good at all....

If you are looking for something that pounds and sounds good I would go with a Mag 15...I know Paaco*** is selling 1 for 200+ shipping I think....From what I read it is one of best all around sub and has the ability to get really low...http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=308013

Sub aamp I would go with a Sundown 1500 or something around those lines(can be found for @ 350 shipped)....or even save some money and get the AQ 1200D brand new for $250...http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps.htm

from here you can pick up a kinetic or yellowtop for @ $150-200....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Optima-9014-045-Battery-Yellow-Top-12-V-Deep-Cycle_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33574QQihZ012QQitemZ220223994037QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

KLM wire kit for $60.....http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM-AK0

and maybe some PG Rsds for @ 90-100 shipped.....

with the extra $200-$250 you can get a decent deck and maybe a temp mids/high amp, box supplies

to me this would be an awesome first setup.....

Thanks guys, i dont get the money till a bit, but i now have a good idea on what to get.

Im runing into the local car audio shop today just to check it out.

Again, thanks for all the help.

With that budget, Id definitely go the single sub route, save some cash. You say you want 2 15's? Okay, get a single 18 instead and put the savings towards other stuff. $1000 will spread pretty thin when you are purchasing an entire system, I see no reason to go the economically inefficient route of buying a dual sub setup.
