Hey guys, I am starting to get serious about finding an amp to push my new 15" Brahma. The down side to it is it's a 4ohm sub. But, I figured you guys could help me find a nice amp to push it.

I would like to stay between $100 and $300 but if I need to add a little more I can. Please let me know what type of amp I should get for the sub!

Oh, I should probably get two of the same amp since I have another Brahma that I am selling. If I can find a good deal on two amps I could just sell the sub with the amp.

Thanks for the help!

You mean a dual 4 VC?

Any quality amp that does between 800 and 1500W @ 2 ohms should be fine...JBL, PG, Incriminator, MTX, etc, etc...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If it is the mk3 brahma I wouldn't give it more than 600rms.

Did the power handling really get cut in half from the MKII?
'Tis a shame if it did...
Well they are rated at 600rms now, and I had a guy blow one up using 1200watts on it thinking it had the same power handling as the mk2's. So I wouldn't give it much more than 600rms.

Showrides....I believe these are the subs I purchased from you a month or two ago. I don't know which version they are because I cannot find any marking on the sub. Also, they don't have the brahma dustcap so they don't even look like brahmas to me. Let me know

They are the mk3 version. They are rated at 600rms and I suggest that you run them at that. Also, the new brahmas don't come with the logos on the dustcaps. That is one way to tell that you got the newest version. Just run them at that, with the suggest size enclosure, and they will hit VERY hard. I played around with one and it got really loud off of little power. So you don't need to over power them.

Anyone else used Ample? How do they compare to other brands?

Oh, and I am only running a single 15 so don't I want an amp thats pushing 600 or so RMS @ 4 ohms instead of 2?
