cool to see some locals on here. you driving that SVT daily? I'll keep a look out for ya, im in a 01 escape white. now to turn this back on topic a bit, anyone care to share what dampening and THD of an amp do for the sounds and power of it? any help is greatly appreciated, trying to buy a new amp under budget but dont want to upgrade for a while. thanks

Ok forget my last post i did some research but, what are some good numbers when it goes to amps? Im stuck between the

Profile AP1000M California

RMS power output @ 2 Ohm 1 x 500W

Frequency response 20HZ- 250HZ

signal to noise >103DB

Damping Factor 300

and

Power Acoustik A1000DB

RMS power ourtput @ 2 Ohm 1 x 800W

In a ported box how loud is the profile's 500 watts gonna sound on 2 premier 10s rated at 350 RMS per sub? louder than 500 kenwood watts in an over sized sealed box?

I don't want to be a pain but i think im ordering my new amp tomorrow, leaning towards the profile amp. good deal for $120?

buddy you have to realize it cost close .75 to 1.25 per watt to get true power that crunch is nothing but junk save your money and buy something good cheaper amps are cheap for a reason look in dampening factors and slew rate and T H D those are things that make your sub sound better and last longer.

It doesn't cost anywhere close to that much per watt for a good amp.
