Haha, it's funny you mention cadence...... They have the same exact lack of sensitivity ......cranck to the max, boost up, and even bass level on the hu and you have to turn it up real loud to see peak output..... A line driver, or loc os an option....

have you ever even used cadence, i never need a line driver etc. there new stuff is the same as audioque and american bass, so they have the same problems 2, the old z series can only take up to 5v input so obv its very sensitive.

not with only a 500 watt amp, wont really matter to much.

lol, yes, why else would i say that? if it was something i heard about, i would say something allong the lines of "what i've been told"..

...anyways, have a cadence xa400.1 almost 1 year old, and it really doesn't put up much power untill you give it some real signal..... basically all that the pioneer hu in my cousin's truck could put out. other than the sensitivity, and the phillips set scerws, i found it to be a real nice piece, actually..... but it does pull a lot of current for a 400

I never had a single issue with my Cadence amp and it was extremely efficient. The Z series is awesome. I had a Z1200. Rated for 1200@1 benched right up there with the A7HC at1400+@1 that everyone sells for $250+ and goes nuts over. I looked for 2 years for a Z4000 or 4300 for a matching 4 channel, never found one until a month ago at which point it was to late. I already sold my Z1200. So far my favorite amp that Ive had.

my z7000 might be one of my favorite amps i have ver had. better then the a7hc imho.

the xenith lines are there budget lines, its their cheapest amps. the flash is their middle line, their top line are the z series or the newer zrs series etc. which are some of the best amps out there

So I just got in my Boston Acoustics GTA 400M mono amp and it is hooked to a Boston Acoustics G3 10" sub wired to a 2ohm load (sealed enclosure). So it is getting 400 watts to the sub, but you have to have the gain nearly all the way up otherwise there is hardly any output. Its set to a little above 3/4. I usually set the gain on most of my setups to a little over half way and that always works for me. Anything you guys can think of thats wrong with the amp? Bought it from Crutchfield since they had it at half price ($150) and it had really good reviews, but I sent the first one back, thinking I got a bad amp, now this replacement one arrives and its the same story! Maybe the amp is just not that good, I don't know. What I do know is that my Kicker ZX 300 mono amp, in my wifes car, blows this BA amp away! ...so, what is the rated sensitivity range? Do you have a dmm?
