Got my AQ1200D in tuesday and got my subs in my new box. Sounds much better. Went from over sized sealed box to 1.3 cubes per sub tuned to 32 Hz. The subs dont have to move near as much and still get louder. The subs arnt that amazing but do a great job. Pics of my install here
I got a quick vid, the mic on my camera is pretty nice so the bass doesnt over power, but believe me its louder than i ever thought theyd go
Question, Iv got those dual twos running at two ohms, and gains set at 800 watts, which is 100 over what their supost to take. They do great but i was pushing them hard last night and they started to smell so i cut it off. It wasnt clipping either, I just dont know if they can take it. They're not real great subs, got them for $45 each. Should I get new subs in a little while? Maybe get dual 4s to get the most out of my amp. Im gonna mess with taking out my back seat since i just drive and work with it so i could go bigger box. Should I jsut get two more of those subs and and run that at 1 ohm, would that get loud, or should i get other subs? im open to other ideas but dont want over a 12 inch. Any comments/advice is awesome, Thanks
