New amp giving me the finger...

So I got a step closer tonight. I plugged my phone into the rca jacks on the amp and played from my mp3 player. So the amp appears fine. Of course I had to tear apart the whole mother f'ing dash apart again to get to my rca's on the HU, but whatever. I switched the preouts from sub/rear to front(full range). Still nada. So it would appear I have a problem between the rca's and the HU.
I can't find any settings that are screwed up on the HU. I even reset it and switched around the preouts again. Could something be wrong with my rca's? Is there a way to test them?
take them off the deck and then turn everything on. touch the tips with your fingertips. should hear a slight to loud hum from the sub depending how high the gain on the amp is turned. if you hear the hum , it means your RCA's are good and your deck is not sending signal to the amp.

no should be upwards of 30-80 volts with the volume up
Yeah. I had the volume way down.......

Thanks, Ill try this.

I got a feeling somethings up between the HU sending signal to the amp, but I don't know what it's problem is. Pain in the a**.

Try this , press and hold the select button. It should bring up the set up menu. press select to scroll through the menu and see if you have something labeled Sub/Rear . Should be set to sub . Also check and make sure the high pass filter is turned off. Settings for it are in the same menu. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Holy Hellen Keller it got it! It was the Low Pass Filter on the amp. It was turned all the way up instead of all the way down like a thought, so I was blocking everything below 250Hz. I had previous adjusted it, but didn't turn it down far enough to hear anything come through the subs! Thanks for all the help guys. I also did the touch test for the rca's(they're fine of course). Kinda upset I had to tear the dash apart again, but I found some screws I missed last time, so its cool. Peace.
