NEW amp for Alpine

what would be a decent amp for around 200 to run 2 10'' Alpine type R's. I just want it to run the subs not my speakers or do you think I should get one to run my speakers also? I have 4 6.5 alpines.

x2 and as for an amp, if not buying used, if your subs are dual 4ohm you could pick up a cadence txa1000d for $199 shipped from cadence. sure others will come with more/better suggestions but that's the first amp to come to mind in that budget new.

If your Type R's are Dual 2 ohm, then yes, the second one is better (though, gunna be a little more difficult to hook up for someone inexperienced, but not hard)... If they are dual 4 ohms, then the 1st one is better.

That being said... order straight from Cadence as you will get a 2 year warranty with them too. The first one is the SAME price, and the second is actually CHEAPER straight from them.

ya I saw that it is cheaper which is cool especially with a warranty. I will probally end up getting the 2nd one for the subs im getting. Which one is better all around though the 1st or 2nd thanks

the txa6004 will give you more power per woofer ASSUMING you have DUAL 2 OHM woofers (600 watts per woofer)... if you have DUAL 4 OHM then get the txa1000 (500 watts per woofer)
