New amp for 12" AQ HDC3

yeah i know lol, i already blew a type R one time back the high school days lol. Now i really pay attention cause it sucks have to deal with it and buy a new sub!

What is the RMS handling of the HDC12? I got a customer who was running 1 x HDC12 and 1 x SAZ-1500D and he has had to warranty his sub twice already for overheating the voice coil. Is it a 1200RMS sub or a 1500RMS sub?
He could have been doing something wrong so I am not blaming the sub, as many of my customers have said they are running the HDC subs with their SAZ amps and they like the SAZ's, just that one who says he fried the HDC12 twice with his SAZ-1500D.

I believe it is a 1000RMS sub. I use a single 15 on 2200 watts of power. More than likely that guy is just doing something wrong, but who knows. I'm no sub expert, but something about his setup was not right. He probably had the gain and bass boost all the way up bumping some bullshit for hours at a time. Box may not be built to spec or anything. Everybody I know that uses them has good results.

look for a orion 2500D or a aq2200

I have a Cadence Daytona 2500.1, as for whether it will take it, I've seen people put atomic 5ks on them
