New & about to try something for the 1st time....

:nerd:I'm pretty handy.. but don't know much about building boxes.. But I got handed the short end of a stick.. Great Subs (2 AB XFL 1244)... Great Amp (AB Phantom 4000D)... but really shi**y install.. nowhere near specs... box might be .75 cubed sealed for each sub.. So i'm going to attempt to build a box my self.. Could use a couple of pointers..

If I build a "bad" box, could it mess my subs up??

I'm in a 2010 Camaro.. so I would have to build box inside trunk..

Should I just let the professionals handle it.. or would it be ok to give it a try.. ?? I don't want to try if it will mess my subs up..

I'm trying to go ported.. at least 2-2.5^3 each sub.. Don't really care about trunk space as long as

I can at little stuff back there.

Is A DIY box worth it.. or if I was goign down that road should I just say F*** it and bring $4-500 to someone to make a box?? That's about how much I'm willing to spend..

if you have that much of a budget then contact starr mountain sounds on here. they will build you a box for half that price, and it will be top quality and done in a week.

4-500 bucks too buku! You won't necessarily eff the subs up if you're giving them that large a volume (normally smaller is worse). You just won't necessarily have the best output. Just be careful with your measurements and don't leave any air gaps.

Just have to fit it back into the boot of that Camaro...Chevy should have rethought that trunklid.

yea.. that trunk opening *****!! the specs for the trunk is supposedly 11ft^3..
